Membership Overview

The Boys & Girls Club of Bartlesville Summer program is available to all children ages 6 to 18. There are no income or geographic requirements to become a member. After school program members are assigned a membership number and card which are used to check in and out of the program.

Program Hours Monday through Friday from 8 pm to 5 pm for all members.

Elementary age members participate at the 401 S Seminole location in West Bartlesville.
Members from the middle schools, mid-high, and high school participate at the “The Club” Teen Center on Frank Phillips.

Program Structure

Members at our Seminole location rotate by age group and gender throughout the facility between the gym, game rooms, art room, computer lab and learning center. In the Learning Center, our staff leads daily “Brain Gain” activities aimed at preventing Summer Learning Loss, a common issue for students. Members have access to our computer lab for summer learning loss prevention activities and general supervised recreation. Our healthy lifestyles staff leads programs to engage kids in at least one hour of physical activity in our gym or outside on the fields during their visit. Programs such as dance class, photography club, and others (see the complete list) occur during regularly scheduled Club hours. Members are alerted via intercom to these “special” activities as they occur and have the opportunity to participate in those that interest them.

Field Trips

Having the kids for an extended period during the day means we have more time to take them out in the community. We try to provide a variety of optional off-campus activities for our youth to experience and learn new things during the summer. Most of these activities are free or very low cost (less than $5). Schedules may be picked up at the Boys & Girls Club. Each age group will have at least one opportunity per week to walk to Frontier Pool with our staff.

Lunch and a mid-morning snack is provided thanks to the fantastic volunteers at East Bartlesville Christian Church.

Transportation is not provided to the Club during the Summer. It is provided to field trips.

Bartlesville Public Schools provides transportation to and from summer school for those kids who are participating. Contact BPS for more information.

Boys & Girls Club members take a field trip to Woolaroc, Frank Phillips’ ranch-turned-museum, during our summer program.
